The Albany Executives Association announced their 2021-21 Award Winners at their Annual Awards Luncheon on June 14, 2021. 

The Executive of the Year Award was presented to Tom Kretzler, President of Albany Fire Extinguisher

The Greg Hatt Distinguished Service Award was presented to Ali Bullis, Association Manager at Capitol Hill Management Services

Tom Kretzler, Albany Fire Extinguisher The AXA Executive of the Year Award is an award given based upon a member’s achievement within his/her own business or profession; recognition in community affairs, club, business association or public service; and performance within AXA.
Tom has been President of Albany Fire Extinguisher since 1992. A 3rd generation family owned company, Albany Fire Extinguisher is a staple in the community and is well known for their commitment to fire prevention training, education, and customer satisfaction.
Tom been a member of AXA since 2000. Tom is a Past President of the organization and was awarded the Greg Hatt Distinguished Service Award in 2008. He has also served on several committees, acted as a table captain, and is a fantastic ambassador for the group.

Ali Bullis, Capitol Hill Management Services The AXA Greg Hatt Distinguished Service Award is based solely on a member’s involvement within AXA. Ali has been the Association Manager for AXA for four years. In this past year, she has successfully and efficiently navigated the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic. From transitioning to virtual meetings, to arranging for networking breakfasts,  to adopting COVID-19 safety measures once in-person meetings resumed, Ali ensured AXA did not suffer due to the global pandemic.

Outside of AXA, Ali manages all day-today operations for three other state associations. Active in the profession, Ali currently serves on the Strategic Partnership, Marketing, and Engagement Committee of the Empire State Society of Association Executives (ESSAE). She has a strong passion for fundraising, and is active with the Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Double H Ranch, the Epilepsy Foundation, and the United Way of the Greater Capital Region. Ali earned her BS in Marketing from Siena College in 2015 and is currently completing her MBA with a concentration in Strategic Management, also from Siena College, and expects to graduate in December of this year.

In her free time, Ali loves running, vacations to the beach, and hanging out with her 2-year-old rescue pup, Doug!
